Everyday, Another Door!

My Favourite Closer Than Ever Scene (Photo by Joel Reyes)

Another door has just closed for the Trumpets MT Adults Summer Batch 2008. We have successfully showcased our singing, dancing, and acting skills (naks! Haha!) through our musical theater show CLOSER THAN EVER last Saturday! Ang saya saya!!! :-)

It was indeed one of those nights to remember. :-)

I have longed to be a part of a musical show and now that it was realized, I wonder what door is ready to open next! I’m sure that in the meantime, it’s back to work, business, and some travels. But I know that there’s something bigger than this! I’ll definitely keep you posted! :-)

A Secret Get-Away in the North

I just got back from this really nice beach nestled in a cove in the north – it’s called the Anvaya Cove. It’s on the far end of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, actually exiting SBMA and entering Morong, Bataan. It wasn’t really a perfect weekend get-away as the weather was very unpredictable (it rained several times) but just being in the venue alone kept me relaxed and happy. :-)

I wish to be back there again soon, hopefully, on a sunny weather. :-)

Closer Than Ever

Finally, after watching musical theater shows either on TV or at the venue itself (Miss Saigon and The Sound of Music in Manila, and Les Miserables in London), I will be a part of the cast of one of the musical theater shows of Trumpets Playshop for this summer!!! :-)

The show has an original script but the songs are all from the musical show, Closer Than Ever. This is directed by Sweet Plantado-Tiongson, together with JC Gotinga.

You are all invited to come. It will be staged at the AFP Theater in Quezon City on 24 May 2008.  Tickets are at PhP 150@. Please be there at 6:30 P.M. I’m sure you will all have fun! :-)

Cebu City: SIGA 2008

SIGA is an acronym of SSEAYP (Ship for Southeast ASEAN Youth Program) International General Assembly. Each year, Japan or an ASEAN-member country hosts this 4-day assembly of SSEAYP alumni. As May 1 – 4 are Japanese holidays, SIGA is always held on these dates. And this year, it was held in Waterfront Hotel and Resort (Lahug), Cebu City. About 300 international and local participants went to Cebu to witness and participate in this assembly.

Labour Day Calorie-Overload

My college friends and I got together yesterday in Powerplant for an overdue reunion. Zhel announced that she’s leaving the country next month, while Peachy and Chrize also announced that they have plans of leaving the country next year. :-(

I really don’t have any plans of leaving the country and building a professional life abroad. I only have plans of pursuing my further studies abroad and still come back and get settled here. I don’t know what it is but the more I travel abroad, the more I realize how nicer it is to live here. :-)

All those announcements will leave me almost alone here (the other two, Irish and Lou Anne are now proud mommies settled in Batangas, while Gavino is still in the US, and Sheryl, in Dubai).

While now home and looking at the photos of what we had this afternoon, I noticed that it was an afternoon full of calories! Haha! :-p I think that it might have been an effect of Zhel’s sudden announcement of leaving us. I actually thought of satisfying my sweet tooth as well earlier (Today was a holiday which meant that my diet was also on a holiday – some excuse haha… :p ) but my determination to lose some weight this month won over that silly excuse. So, I got myself a Japanese Green Tea instead after a Grilled Chicken Salad at Grams Diner. :-)
