Our third day was as full as our second day. We still had some entrance coupons which weren’t used and we thought that we should just choose a few since it was The Great Singapore Sale and we wouldn’t want to miss the sale for the world! 🙂
This is a summary of the last full day that we had 🙂
1) DUCKTOURS. This is both a bus and a boat combined, offering tourists a tour of the city and the harbour without having to switch transport. It takes almost the same route as the river cruise but this one is a bit different since the tour starts on land. Just the same, we had a good, closer look on Singapore’s landmarks on the river banks.

Our Guide To Fun 🙂
I woke up refreshed, looking forward to see how else can Singapore make my day fun and memorable. I met with my SO after his event and we both headed to the country’s largest shopping mall which also has the world’s largest fountain – the Suntec City. We wanted to check out the country’s hop-on, hop-off tour bus services since we thought that it was the best way to explore the place. I think I saw about 3 different companies offering this kind of tour services, and after checking out the brochures the night before, we chose to book with Hippo and Duck Tours for our sightseeing trip that day. They have a wide range of tour options (the options were seriously confusing!). We decided to purchase the Singapore Pass since we thought that we can utilize the pass for the 2 free days that we had. The pass had it all and I’d say that we made an excellent choice! 🙂

Our 2-day Singapore Pass included hop-on, hop-off bus transfers to 17 city sightseeing stops, 16 heritage attraction stops, passes to Sentosa, River Hippo Cruise, Moonlight Adventure, Chinatown and Malay Heritage Center, 3 Museums, and the Botanic Garden. To top it all, it included passes to the Singapore Flyer and the Singapore DuckTours! I didn’t have the chance to experience the duck tour when I was in England which made me look forward to that DuckTour in Singapore 🙂

Trips that aren’t planned are sometimes the most fun.
It wasn’t planned because it was Singapore. A few of my closest friends would often hear me say that Singapore is just… Singapore! And nothing else. Well, there’s Sentosa, the flyer, the famous Durian Building and other modern buildings, and electronics. Just those. Period.
And because it wasn’t planned, I didn’t expect anything. I was even wondering what I could do in a very small country which I had already visited a few years back. Was there anything else aside from those which I had seen before? But then, things change, naturally, so there must be.

My Palawan trip has long been over but I haven’t got the time to really blog about it (although some photos from Day 1 were already posted). I hope I can sit down one of these days and get all these experiences out of my over-stressed mind. :p
I just came back from the 7,107 Island Cruise and I still have all those photos stuck in my camera.
I’m off to Bohol by the end of the month and I hope I can blog about my Bohol experience as soon as I get back to Manila.
I hope we all enjoyed our V-day last weekend!

It wasn’t planned at all but when two high school classmates told us about the Palawan tickets that they just bought during the Cebu Pacific seat sale, Ailyn and I agreed to go without thinking twice for the reason that we will get to travel together again! 🙂
We knew very well that when most of the airlines do their seat sales, we won’t be able to get our money back when we cancel, so, indeed there was no turning back!
It was another adrenalin rush in everything (beating deadlines) before I finally set my foot in the newest airport terminal – Terminal 3! It was my first time to see the interior of this terminal. I would usually pass by the area in getting to South Super Highway from the other airports. And so, even without any sleep, I was excited!
We got to Puerto Princesa early morning and since we took the first flight to the city, we decided to get a few hours rest after checking in and before making ourselves busy with the tours we had in mind.
We started the day touring and found ourselves happily discovering Puerto Princesa more and more each day. Our days in this part of Palawan were all fun. Photos tell a lot of stories and here are some of the photos which form a part of our Palawan get-away story. 🙂

For Paz’s bridal shower, my girlfriends and I decided to skip the conventional shower party (and skip the plane as well) and treat her to a road trip to the south of Luzon. In 2 days, we covered some parts of Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon! 🙂
This road trip was inspired by a witty guide of Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon, called Viaje del Sol, translated in English as the “way of the sun”. The whole concept of Viaje del Sol is to provide travellers, culture and nature-lovers, or adventure-seekers, suggestions of places to visit in these three areas, a road map, or simply a guide to having wonderful times in the south.

Turning Portuguese in Macau 🙂
Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of trying to revisit a country in a day!
This was what I felt when I recently visited Macau from a trip to Hong Kong. When I try to recall my visit to Macau now that I’m back in Manila, I can’t help but be amazed at the energy that I’ve got during that time. It wasn’t my first visit to Macau though. I had one way back in 2002, or was it 2001? But it was about 7 years ago and looking at the place from its tourism advertisements on TV and in travel magazines, Macau has indeed undergone a major facelift. Kudos to its government. Clap. Clap. Clap. 🙂
Sadly though, with all the expansion and building of casinos in this small peninsula of China, it is growing to be sort of a modern western country in Asia. However, the culture can still be seen from among its people and the people’s way of life. And if the locals can keep that culture and preserve the old Portuguese and Chinese structures, then it will still be a nice place to visit for culture-inclined people, like me. 🙂
I’m not really fond of gambling in casinos (although I did quite gamble a few times when I was in Las Vegas which made me won about $20plus dollars – not bad for a beginner. Haha.), so I made it a point to leave Venetian and the other well-lit, colourful buildings towards the end of the day.

I have recently gone to Hong Kong (and Macau as side trip) for a trade fair. It wasn’t all work for sure. Since Hong Kong is one of my most favourite places on earth, I made sure to enjoy the city as well. My last visit to Hong Kong was in 2006 and even though it still looks the same as it was during my last visit, I still had fun. For some reasons, it is one place where I really feel at home, second to my country.
For this nth visit, I decided to list down the things that visitors can expect and do when visiting Hong Kong. I will constantly update this when I remember more from my previous visits.

I just got back from this really nice beach nestled in a cove in the north – it’s called the Anvaya Cove. It’s on the far end of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, actually exiting SBMA and entering Morong, Bataan. It wasn’t really a perfect weekend get-away as the weather was very unpredictable (it rained several times) but just being in the venue alone kept me relaxed and happy. 🙂
I wish to be back there again soon, hopefully, on a sunny weather. 🙂
